Data - Map/GIS Layers

Geospatial data gives essential context to your incident, response, and apparatus information. A variety of spatial layers help you gain insight into your department’s current service provision.

We can work with a variety of formats, but GIS files are preferred for their compatibility with spatial analysis tools.

Example Spatial Layers

  • Jurisdictions – Defines which agency has authority in each area, helping align analysis with governance boundaries
  • Station zones / first-due areas – Maps primary coverage areas for each station; mandatory if GPS-based dispatch is not used
  • Emergency Service Zones (ESZ) – Smaller operational zones within your service area for more granular reporting
  • Municipalities, neighbourhoods, political districts – Adds layers for community-specific reporting and analysis
  • Forecasts - future population, growth areas, road networks
