Information about your apparatus and stations is essential for our platform. This data allows the Darkhorse Platform to accurately model your department’s coverage and evaluate how changes to fleet, staffing, or station locations might affect performance.
Station Information
Stations form the physical backbone of your coverage. Key details help us map your service area and identify potential gaps in coverage:
- Location – Coordinates and/or street addresses for accurate mapping and drive-time calculations
- Dates active – Identifies new, closed, or relocated stations over time
- Staffing levels – How many frontline staff are typically on duty, and at what times
- Operating agency – For departments with shared or regional stations
Apparatus Information
Apparatus data tells us what resources are available, where they are based, and how they are staffed:
- Apparatus ID and description – Unique callsigns and common names for linking to response records
- Staff count and type – Career, auxiliary, or volunteer roles and typical shift staffing
- Staffing schedules – Whether units are staffed 24/7 or cross-staffed, during specific time windows
- Status (active/inactive) – Ensures analysis reflects current operational units only
- Dates active - identifies timing of when specific apparatus are in use
- Home station – Links apparatus to its primary location for deployment modelling
- Apparatus type – Such as ladder, engine, hazmat, etc
